CUSEC Blog

We have created a new website just for the audio version of the presentations that were given at CUSEC. Presentations are going to be released on a a weekly basis. We are not going to announce the release of each presentation but we are very happy to announce the first one :-) .

Head over to SOENlive and listen to Chad Fowler’s second keyonte presentation entitled “Rails is Boring and Ruby is a Toy”.

While you are there make sure to subscribe to SOENlive’s rss feed to be notified when the next presentations are going to be released.

On another note, we launcehd a parent site for CUSEC that will maintain the archives of presentations. Visit CUSEC.net.

Spread the word my friends!

So we have been hard at work doing some, at least what I think to be, great things.

SOENlive has been released to the world. On this site we will be releasing the audio of the majority of presentations that were given at CUSEC 2006… and hopefully previous CUSEC’s if I can find some of the recordings. We will also be trying to get some more content on SOENlive through out the year for you. Sign up the RSS Feed for SOENlive while you are there.

CUSEC has a new home on the internet. We forgot we owned CUSEC.net. My fault. I own over fifty domains and CUSEC.net must of just fallen through the cracks. CUSEC.net will be the website that promotes CUSEC and maintains CUSEC’s archive of presentations. Each CUSEC year though will also have there own website as well.

Again we are still looking for people to help out with CUSEC 2007. The team is already at 10 people but there are positions that still have not been filled. Get into contact with us via CUSEC.net.

On behalf of the CUSEC team, I just wanted to say a big thank you. Thank you for helping make CUSEC 2006 such a huge success!

There was so much that went on during this three day event - enlightening keynotes, a brand new Career Fair, corporate presentations, academic and paper presentations, panel discussion, and not to mention the crazy parties at night!

We hope that you guys had as much fun at the conference as we had organizing it.

Sincerely,
CUSEC 2006 team

CUSEC is only 4 days away, are you excited yet? Are you registered yet? Spaces are filling up fast, so if not head on over and register already!

Extending the mission of advancing understanding and education of Software Engineering, CUSEC founder John Kopanas has recently updated SOEN.info, your index of “The Freshest Software Engineering Information On The Net”. I say your because it for you and by you. So head on over and learn something new, then contribute a link to an article, book, review, paper, podcast… that you think needs to be indexed for others who will find it interesting and can advance their knowledge of Software Engineering.
